Industrial air blowers are machines whose primary function is to supply and accommodate an outsized flow of air or gas to varied parts of a building or other structure. This is achieved by rotating several blades, connected to a hub and shaft, and driven by a motor or turbine. A blower is another name for a fan that operates where the resistance to the flow is totally on the downstream side of the fan.

An industrial air blower is a mechanical device used for moving air or other gases in a direction at an angle to the incoming fluid. Centrifugal fans often contain a ducted housing to direct outgoing air in a specific direction or across a heat sink; such a fan which is also called a blower fan, biscuit blower or squirrel-cage fan (because it's sort of a hamster wheel). These fans increase the speed and volume of an air stream with the rotating impellers.
Centrifugal fans use the kinetic energy of the impellers to extend the quantity of the air stream, which successively moves against the resistance caused by ducts, dampers and other components. Centrifugal fans displace air radially, changing the direction (typically by 90°) of the airflow. They are sturdy, quiet, reliable, and capable of operating over a good range of conditions.
Centrifugal fans are constant-displacement or constant-volume devices, meaning that, at a continuing fan speed, a centrifugal fan moves a comparatively constant volume of air instead of a continuing mass. This means that the air velocity during a system is fixed albeit the mass flow through the fan isn’t.
Centrifugal fans aren't positive-displacement devices and centrifugal fans have certain advantages and drawbacks when contrasted with positive-displacement blowers: centrifugal fans are more efficient, whereas positive-displacement blowers may have a lower capital cost.

The functioning of the centrifugal air blower: The hub turns on a driveshaft mounted in bearings in the fan housing. The gas enters from the side of the fan wheel, turns 90 degrees and accelerates thanks to force because it flows over the fan blades and exits the fan housing.
The centrifugal fan uses the centrifugal power supplied from the rotation of impellers to extend the kinetic energy of air/gases. When the impellers rotate, the gas particles near the impellers are
thrown far away from the impellers, then enter the fan casing. As a result, the kinetic energy of gas is measured as pressure due to the system resistance offered by the casing and duct. The gas is then guided to the exit via outlet ducts. After the gas is thrown-off, the pressure within the middle region of the impellers decreases. The gas from the impeller eye rushes in to normalize this. This cycle repeats and thus the gas is often continuously transferred.
