Industrial fans are air blowers that move and circulate the air. An industrial fan can be used as an application in every industry. It is also used in building maintenance services and the carpet cleaning companies use industrial fans as special floor drying fans. It is also used by Aerospace companies where these fans are used to create airflow in wind tunnels.

The diversity of industrial uses for fans ranges from the most high-tech sectors to the simplest personal air-cooling applications. But mostly

industrial fans

are often used in the building heating, building cooling and also building ventilation industry. The flow of air in the workspace of every type and variety should be circulated constantly and equally in order to match with the laws pertaining to workplace safety and also to form a comfortable working environment , which contributes to productivity. In order to create air circulation, buildings must be equipped with ductwork, heating and cooling equipment and fans to direct and move the flow of air through the building. There are different types of fans for different types of air circulation , and they range from exposed ceiling fans to furnace fans at the beginning of ductwork systems.

All industrial fans are designed mainly in two configurations:

Centrifugal Fans

and

Axial Fans

. Axial fans are the fans that have blades that rotate around an axis i.e the movement of blades in the axial fans closely resembles that of a clock. These fans work by creating an imbalance in air pressure in front and behind their blades. This imbalance causes airflow, and the continued spinning of the blades causes continued airflow. In centrifugal fans , they also create the airflow by creating air pressure imbalance, but they have different motion of their blades , they more resemble the spinning of a waterwheel than the rotation of hands on a clock. Also in Centrifugal fans the direction of air is controlled by spinning blades within an enclosure.Depending on the fans application, the outlet for the air is positioned.

Advantages of using Industrial Fans:

Mostly all the industries need industrial fans or blowers for proper ventilation of air which is necessary for the health of employees and the customers. These fans can provide many benefits to the industries that use them. Industries like Chemical, medical, food processing, construction industries and many more . Such industries use these fans to circulate fresh air. Various Gymnasiums, warehouses, also use industrial fans to maintain the health safety of the people.

Industrial fans circulate air and gas which is an essential factor for many factories. Industrial fans and blowers circulate the air in enclosed areas by replacing contaminated air with fresh air. These fans can also be used in many cooling and drying applications and also in many construction sites where patrons become hot and sweaty. Industrial fans are important in some factories where there is a need to reduce high heat levels and prevent air contamination where air conditioners are not an option. They help reduce moisture levels in spas, greenhouses, bathrooms. Industrial fans also help remove smoke and other odors in cooking and processing applications and they help regulate gaseous fumes in chemical industries and automotive shops. Needless to say, the health of thousands of workers and customers is protected every day through the function and utilization of quality industrial fans.

Industrial fans are of a variety of sizes and types which are of various uses and applications. The size of each industrial fan depends on the need of the environment in which it will be used. It is used for high volume, high static pressure applications, industrial fans and blowers are classified on the size and construction of the fan. Basically, the higher the class number, the more effectively the fan will perform.Portable fans are mainly used for cleanups and in small spaces 5that temporarily require a little air circulation . You should know the size of the facility you plan on using the fan for and research into what class of fan you will need.

Different types of industrial fans differ according to where they are getting placed and how they are mounted. Various types of industrial fans include freestanding fans, wall and panel mounted fans, duct fans and blowers. Each fan has a different function or purpose and your business will benefit much more when the correct type of fan is utilized to solve whatever problem you are facing.

Free Standing fans don't require mounting. They are the most versatile of all of the industrial fans because they can be placed anywhere to increase air circulation and to cool down the surrounding air. This category of fan also has many other portable types of industrial fans and blowers.

Wall and panel mounted fans are capable of being attached to the wall for proper ventilation of an area. They also have exhaust fans which are capable of removing harmful gases and unpleasant odors through an opening in the wall.

Duct fans and blowers are designed for in-line duct mounting, it uses support braces or flanges to be mounted.

Exhaust fans

are mostly classified in this group of fans. Ceiling ventilation fans have specially designed flanges to be fixed inside the ventilation systems. They are most effective at removing the harmful substances that are created in industrial operations.

Industrial fans are beneficial when they are used properly in industries. They create a healthy atmosphere by eliminating contaminated and harmful air. As they reduce heat and humidity levels, they provide valuable environmental benefits. They consist of a variety of functions and styles that are different in airflow direction and speed. When choosing an industrial fan, be sure to check the utility you have it to provide, and the environmental conditions, and the pressure levels and surface areas of the place to be affected.
